Visit of Capt. J. Kirupakaran, Synergy Marine Group

The campus had the privilege of welcoming Capt. J. Kirupakaran the company training officer from Synergy Marine Group for an interactive session with the Graduate Marine Engineering students of Batch 001/2025 on 27th February 2026.

The day commenced with a warm reception by the Principal, Dean, staff and students, followed by a photograph session to commemorate the visit. Capt. J. Kirupakaran was then accompanied by the students and faculty members for breakfast, providing an opportunity for informal interaction and exchange of thoughts.

Subsequently, Capt. J. Kirupakaran engaged with the students in their classroom, where he shared valuable insights from his professional experience. The interactive session proved to be highly fruitful, with students actively participating and gaining practical perspectives on the maritime industry.

As part of the visit, Capt. J. Kirupakaran toured the campus facilities, including the Ship-in-Campus (SIC), Library, Laboratories, Boat Deck, and Simulators. He appreciated the well-maintained infrastructure and the institute’s commitment to providing quality maritime education.

The visit concluded with a meeting in the Board Room, where Capt. Biju T. Varghese, Principal and Capt. K.K. Haridas, Dean presented a memento to Capt. J. Kirupakaran as a token of gratitude. Capt. J. Kirupakaran expressed his sincere thanks to the management, staff, and students for the warm hospitality and commended the institute for its excellent faculty and state-of-the-art infrastructure.

The visit was both inspiring and enriching for the students, further strengthening the institute’s industry engagement and commitment to academic excellence.
