B.Tech, DNS, GP Rating & CCMC- Passing Out Ceremony

The Passing Out Ceremony for the graduating batches of B.Tech Marine Engineering (B.Tech (ME)), Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS), General Purpose Rating (GP Rating), and Certificate Course for Maritime Catering (CCMC) was held with great pride and solemnity on 16th June 2025 at the Euro Tech Maritime Academy campus. The event marked a significant milestone in the lives of the students as they prepared to step into the maritime industry with confidence, knowledge, and a strong sense of discipline.

The ceremony commenced with a warm Welcome Address and Introduction of the Chief Guest by Capt. Biju T. Varghese, Principal, who set the tone for the afternoon by highlighting the accomplishments of the graduating students and the institution’s unwavering commitment to excellence in maritime education.

This was followed by the Presidential Address by Shri. Babu Joseph, Executive Director, who congratulated the graduates on their perseverance, dedication, and transformation into competent maritime professionals. He also expressed his appreciation to the faculty and staff for their mentorship and tireless efforts in shaping the cadets’ academic and professional journey.

The Chief Guest, Shri N.S.K. Umesh, IAS,District Collector of Ernakulam, delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking address that encouraged students to embrace the challenges of their careers with integrity, resilience, and purpose. In recognition of academic excellence, the Chief Guest presented mementos to students who topped in their respective programs, namely B.Tech, DNS, GP Rating, and CCMC.

A special moment during the event was the presence of the Guest of Honour, Capt. Salin Lal, an alumnus from DNS Batch 01. His address, grounded in experience, offered valuable insights and encouragement to the graduating students.

The event also featured felicitations by key academic leaders, including:

  • Capt. Rajeev Menon, Head of the Pre-Sea Nautical
  • Capt. Sunil Kumar, Head of B.Sc & DNS

The ceremony concluded on a graceful note with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Capt. K.K. Haridas, Dean, who expressed sincere appreciation to all dignitaries, faculty members, staff, and students who contributed to making the event a memorable success.

This passing out ceremony was not just a farewell—it was a celebration of growth, achievement, and the beginning of a new voyage. The management, faculty, and staff extended their best wishes to the graduates as they embarked on promising careers in the maritime domain.
