Euro Tech Maritime Academy proudly participated in the Chess Competition as part of the 63rd National Maritime Day Celebrations 2026, held on 16th March 2026 at CIFNET. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from our students, reflecting their strategic thinking, focus, and competitive spirit.
The Academy was represented by the following students:

The competition began with strong performances from our participants. In the first round of the boys’ category, Vinayak Kurup and Sheryas Gavandi secured impressive victories, qualifying for the next round. Similarly, in the girls’ category, Maria Joby and Vani K S demonstrated excellent gameplay and advanced to the subsequent round with notable wins.
As the competition progressed, Sheryas Gavandi, Maria Joby, and Vani K B further showcased their skills and determination by advancing to the semi-final stage, marking a commendable achievement for the Academy.
The students were accompanied by faculty member Ms. Devduthika, whose continuous encouragement and support played an important role in motivating the team throughout the competition.
