In alignment with the advisories issued by the Ministry of Education, AICTE, UGC, and the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Euro Tech Maritime Academy proudly organised the “Run for Swadeshi – Swadeshi Sankalp Run” on 12th January 2026, in observance of Swami Vivekananda’s Birth Anniversary (National Youth Day).
The initiative aimed to instil and promote the core values of Swadeshi, Atmanirbhar Bharat, physical fitness, discipline, teamwork, social responsibility, and national unity, inspired by the timeless ideals and teachings of Swami Vivekananda. The programme served as a platform to sensitise students towards self-reliance, character building, and active nation-building.
The event was flagged off at 07:30 AM by Capt. Haridas K.K., Dean, at the Main Ground, Euro Tech Maritime Campus, with enthusiastic participation from
Pre-Sea students. Faculty members and staff also actively joined the run, making it a truly inclusive and spirited occasion. Participants completed a 2 km Run for Swadeshi, demonstrating commitment, energy, and unity of purpose.
Through this meaningful national initiative, Euro Tech Maritime Academy reaffirmed its dedication to holistic education that goes beyond academics—nurturing responsible, disciplined, and socially conscious maritime professionals.
The academy remains committed to supporting national programmes and values that contribute to the overall development of youth and the strengthening of the nation.
