As part of the practical exposure and maritime familiarization program, students of Euro Tech Maritime Academy participated in ship visit onboard the vessel NEFERTITI on 28th & 29 April 2026.
The visit was organized with the objective of providing students with firsthand exposure to shipboard operations, onboard safety practices, engine room and deck familiarization, and the overall working environment onboard a merchant vessel. The program aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical classroom learning and practical maritime operations, thereby enhancing the students’ professional understanding of the shipping industry.

During the visit, students were introduced to various sections of the vessel, including the bridge, engine room, safety equipment stations, cargo handling areas, and emergency response arrangements. Ship officers and onboard personnel interacted with the students and provided detailed explanations regarding navigation systems, engine operations, safety management procedures, and daily shipboard routines.

The students actively participated in the interaction sessions and gained valuable practical insights into maritime operations and industry expectations. The visit also helped students understand the importance of teamwork, safety culture, professionalism, and adherence to international maritime regulations.

The ship visit onboard NEFERTITI was conducted successfully under the guidance and supervision of the faculty members of Euro Tech Maritime Academy. The program proved to be highly beneficial in enhancing the practical knowledge and confidence of the students pursuing maritime training.
